Orwin is a small community in Pennsylvania, United States. It is located in Porter Township, within Schuylkill County. Orwin is known as a census-designated place, or CDP. This means it is an area that the government counts for population, but it is not an officially organized town or city.
Orwin used to be part of a larger CDP called Reinerton-Orwin-Muir. This was back in the year 2000. Later, for the 2010 census, this larger area was split into three separate CDPs. These three communities are Orwin, Reinerton, and Muir. Orwin is located close to Muir, right along U.S. Route 209. In 2010, about 314 people lived in Orwin.
