Bárbara Allende Gil de Biedma (born June 29, 1957 – died May 24, 2022) was a famous Spanish photographer. She was also known by her artistic name, Ouka Leele. She was a very important artist during a special time in Madrid called La Movida Madrileña.

Bárbara Allende Gil de Biedma was born in Madrid, Spain, on June 29, 1957. She came from a well-known family. Her uncle, Jaime Gil de Biedma, was a famous poet. Her cousin, Esperanza Aguirre, was a leader in the Community of Madrid for many years.
Ouka Leele chose her unique artistic name from a fictional star. This star was created by her friend, the artist El Hortelano.
Her Artistic Journey
Ouka Leele was one of the most important photographers during a cultural movement called La Movida Madrileña. This movement happened in Madrid during the 1980s. It was a time of great change and creativity in Spain.
