Pérez is a city located in the Santa Fe Province of Argentina. It is part of the larger Greater Rosario area, which is a big group of cities and towns connected together. In 2010, about 26,000 people lived in Pérez.

History of Pérez
How Pérez Was Founded
The town of Pérez was started a long time ago, in 1876. It was founded by two people named Eduardo Pérez and María Pérez de Jolly. They helped create the first community here.
From Town to City
Pérez first became an official commune on November 20, 1905. A commune is a type of local government that manages a small area. Later, on November 4, 1971, Pérez officially became a city. This means it grew bigger and had more people.
Location and Geography
Pérez is located about 175 kilometers (which is about 109 miles) south of Santa Fe. Santa Fe is the capital city of the Santa Fe Province. Pérez is also part of the Rosario Department, which is a smaller region within the province.
