The Palace of the Counts of Cocentaina is an amazing old building. It is located in the town of Cocentaina, in Alicante, Spain. This palace was built in the 14th century, which means it is over 700 years old!

Originally, the palace was a strong fortress. It had four large halls and four tall towers. These towers were like the main strongholds of the castle, called donjons. The top of the walls and towers had special tooth-like shapes called merlons. These were used for defense in medieval times.

Exploring the Palace

The Palace of the Counts of Cocentaina is more than just an old fortress. It is also a place where you can see beautiful art. The palace has an art gallery that displays many valuable artworks.
