Pantelhó is a town and a municipality located in the southern part of Mexico. It is part of the Mexican state of Chiapas. A municipality is like a local government area, similar to a county, that includes a main town and smaller villages around it.

Population and Communities
As of 2010, the entire municipality of Pantelhó had a total population of 20,589 people. This was an increase from 16,262 people in 2005, showing that more people are choosing to live there.
The main town, also called Pantelhó, is home to 6,888 residents. Besides the main town, the municipality has 150 smaller communities. The largest of these smaller places is a rural community called Aurora Esquipulas, which had 2,046 people living there in 2010.
