Paolo Bonolis (born 14 June 1961) is a very famous Italian television host. He started his career in 1981 on a children's show called 3, 2, 1... contatto!. This show was on Rai, Italy's national TV channel.

Starting with Kids' Shows
In 1982, Paolo Bonolis moved to another TV channel called Italia 1. There, he hosted Bim bum bam, which was also a popular show for children. He hosted Bim Bum Bam for many years, until 1990.
After that, he started hosting different kinds of shows. These included variety shows like Urka!, Bulli & pupe, Non è la Rai, and Belli freschi.
Back to Rai and New Challenges
Later, Paolo Bonolis returned to Rai. He hosted several prime-time shows, which are shows that air during the most popular viewing hours. Some of these were I cervelloni and Beato tra le donne. He also hosted a fun quiz show called Luna park.
Success at Mediaset
In 1996, he went back to Mediaset, another big Italian TV company. He had a lot of success there. He hosted shows like Tira & molla and the very popular prime-time shows Ciao Darwin and Chi ha incastrato Peter Pan?.
Around the same time, he also hosted Striscia la notizia on Canale 5. This show is a satirical news program, which means it uses humor to talk about current events. He often hosted this show with his friend and colleague, Luca Laurenti.

Paolo Bonolis returned to Rai again in 2003. He presented Domenica in and then Affari tuoi. Affari tuoi is the Italian version of the famous game show Deal or No Deal. It became one of Rai's most loved game shows.
After that, he hosted the Sanremo Music Festival 2005. This is the biggest music festival in Italy, and he did a great job. He hosted it again in 2009.
In the late 2000s, he continued to host shows for Canale 5. These included Il senso della vita and new versions of his successful shows Ciao Darwin and Chi ha incastrato Peter Pan?.

From 2000 to 2011, Paolo Bonolis appeared in many TV commercials. He starred in 30 adverts for Lavazza coffee, often with Luca Laurenti. They became very well-known for these funny ads.

A Big Football Fan
Paolo Bonolis is a huge fan of the football team Inter Milan. His daughter, Anna Carollo, once said that he becomes like a "kid" when Inter plays because he loves the team so much.
He even took part in Inter's official party when they won their fifteenth Italian league title. He was also the speaker for an Inter-Siena match in 2009, when the team lifted their seventeenth Serie A trophy.
