Park Street is a well-known street in the heart of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It's located in the busy central business district, often called the Sydney CBD. This street stretches from George Street in the west all the way to College Street in the east. Once it reaches College Street, it changes its name and becomes William Street.

Exploring Park Street

Park Street is famous for running right through the middle of Hyde Park. This beautiful park is a large green space in the city. In fact, the street gets its name because it "bisects" or cuts through Hyde Park. It's a great example of how city planning can include nature.

A Look Back: Trams on Park Street

Did you know that Park Street used to have electric trams? These trams were a popular way to get around Sydney many years ago. A tram line ran along Park Street between Elizabeth Street and College Street. Imagine seeing trams instead of cars on this busy road! However, the tram service on Park Street was removed in 1960. This change was part of a bigger plan to update Sydney's transport system.
