Park View Road is a football stadium in Welling, London. It is the home ground for the semi-professional football club Welling United. They have played here since 1977. Before them, the club Bexley United also used this stadium. Since 1999, another club, Erith & Belvedere, has also shared the ground.
The stadium is named after a part of the A207 road in Welling, which is very close to Danson Park.

History of Park View Road
Early Days and War Damage
It is not exactly known when football games first started at Park View Road. However, a large main stand was built there by the late 1930s. This stand was badly damaged during a time called The Blitz in World War II. During the Blitz, many bombs were dropped on London. After the war, the stadium was left empty and damaged for several years.
Later, people started a group to bring back the football club Bexleyheath & Welling F.C.. Soon, more than 2,000 fans came to watch the games.
New Stands and Club Changes
In 1950, the main stand that you see today was built. More and more fans came to games in the 1960s. Because of this, the main stand was made bigger. Also, more covered areas were added for fans to stand and watch.
By the 1970s, the club, which was then called Bexley United, faced problems. They had to stop playing football. Their last game at Park View Road was in April 1976.
Welling United and Erith & Belvedere
In 1977, Welling United moved to Park View Road. They had been playing in a nearby area called Eltham. The stadium had been left in a very bad condition, and a fire had also damaged the main stand. Welling United signed a deal to use the stadium for 15 years.
Erith & Belvedere F.C. moved into Park View Road in 1999. This happened after the main stand at their old stadium, which was also called Park View, burned down. In 2001, Erith & Belvedere sold their old stadium site. They used the money to pay for improvements on the far side of Park View Road. Their main offices are now located there. Old, worn-out standing areas were replaced with seats for fans.
