The Pasir Ris MRT Station opened its doors on December 16, 1989. It has been helping people travel around Singapore ever since.

Later, in 2009, the station got its half-height platform screen doors. These doors add an extra layer of safety for everyone waiting for the train.

If you're leaving Pasir Ris MRT Station, the next stop on the East West Line is Tampines (EW2/DT32).

Old Station Code

When the station first opened, its code was E12. This code was used from 1989 until 2001. After that, it became EW1, which is what we use today.
