The municipality of Paso del Macho is surrounded by other areas. To the north, it borders Zentla. To the east, you'll find Carrillo Puerto. To the south, it's next to Cuitláhuac, and to the west, it borders Atoyac. Finally, to the northwest, it's next to Tepatlaxco. The land in this area is mostly flat with only a few small hills.
