Pasqua 79 is a special area of land in Saskatchewan, Canada. It is known as an Indian reserve. This land belongs to the Pasqua First Nation, an Indigenous group.
The reserve is located about 16 kilometers west of a town called Fort Qu'Appelle. In 2016, a count showed that 517 people lived here. They lived in 173 homes out of 200 available. The community's well-being score was 56 out of 100. This score helps show how good life is for people there.
The reserve sits on the south side of Pasqua Lake. This lake is part of the Qu'Appelle Valley.
Land History
When the Pasqua 79 reserve was first set up, it was quite large. It measured about 60.2 square miles (155.9 square kilometers). Over time, some of this land was given up or taken by the government.
This means the reserve's size has been reduced. Today, it is nearly half its original size. It is now about 36 square miles (93 square kilometers).
