About Pasta Pomodoro

How It Started

The very first Pasta Pomodoro restaurant opened in the Marina District of San Francisco. It quickly became popular. People loved its Italian food.

Growth and Changes

After its start, Pasta Pomodoro grew quite a bit. It expanded to more than 25 restaurants. These restaurants were located in the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, and Orange County. Its main office was in San Francisco.

In 2002, a big fast-food company called Wendy's International bought a part of Pasta Pomodoro. They owned about 25% of the company. Later, in 2010, two people from the Bay Area who loved food bought the entire restaurant chain. This included the share that Wendy's owned.

The Closure

On December 26, 2016, all 15 Pasta Pomodoro restaurants that were still open suddenly closed down. It was a surprise for many. The workers found out by text message that they didn't have jobs anymore. The company had stopped all its operations.
