Pataudi State was set up in the year 1804. It was like a mini-country within India. It covered about 52 square miles, which is not very big. Its main town, also called Pataudi, is now in a part of India known as Haryana.
A Look at Its History
For many years, Pataudi State had its own rulers. But when India became independent in 1947, Pataudi State joined the new country of India. This was a big change for all the princely states.
