Early Life and Education

Patricia grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is one of four sisters.

She studied art at Temple University's Tyler School of Art. Later, she earned a special degree called a Master of Fine Arts. She also got a certificate in education from The University of Pennsylvania.

Her Art and Teaching

Patricia Thomas is known for her paintings. Her early artwork explored ideas of beauty in Western art. She also looked at how Black people have been shown in art throughout history.

As her art grew, she started to explore her own life experiences. She often thinks back to her childhood. Her goal is to create art that helps people reflect and find peace.
