Paula Garcés was born on March 20, 1974, in Medellín, Colombia. When she was very young, her family moved to East Harlem in New York City.

Acting Roles
Paula Garcés began her acting career in the 1990s. In 1995, she played a character named Alvina in the movie Dangerous Minds, starring with Michelle Pfeiffer. She also had a role in the TV show Guiding Light, where she played Pilar Santos.
In 2002, Paula starred in the sci-fi adventure film Clockstoppers alongside Jesse Bradford. She also appeared in the comedy Marci X. Later, she acted with Academy Award-winner Tommy Lee Jones in the movie Man of the House.
A big part of her career includes the Harold & Kumar movies. She played Maria, the main character's love interest, in Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle (2004), Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay (2008), and A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas (2011).
On television, Paula Garcés has been in many well-known series. She had guest roles on CSI: Miami, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, The Sopranos, and Oz. Creating Aluna Comics
Paula Garcés is not just an actress; she's also a creator! She noticed that there weren't many Latino superhero characters in comics. This inspired her to create her own Latina superhero named Aluna.
She started a company called Further Lane Productions to make a special comic book featuring Aluna. Later, she worked with a video game company, S2 Games, to bring Aluna to life as a playable character in their game Heroes of Newerth. Paula even provided the voice for Aluna in the game.
In 2014, she helped create a four-issue Aluna comic book series. Then, in 2019, Aluna was developed into an action role-playing game (RPG). This shows how Paula used her creativity to make new and exciting characters for everyone to enjoy.
Personal Life
Paula Garcés is a citizen of the United States. She has two children. Her daughter was born in 1992. In 2002, Paula married Antonio Hernandez, who is a producer and entrepreneur. They have a son, who was born in 2013.
