Peaksville is a small, unincorporated community located in Clark County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. An unincorporated community means it's a group of homes or businesses that isn't officially part of a city or town.
History
Peaksville was officially planned and marked out in 1852. It was named after a person called Dr. Peake, who was an early settler in the area. A post office, which helps people send and receive mail, opened in Peaksville in 1858. It served the community for many years before closing in 1905.
