Peanut is a small place in Pennsylvania, United States. It's known as an unincorporated community. This means it doesn't have its own local government, like a city or town. It was also once a place where people worked in coal mines, making it a coal town.
A Giant Sandwich in Peanut
Because of its fun name, Peanut became famous for a special event! The Peanut Advisory Board chose Peanut to celebrate peanut butter. On November 6, 1993, something amazing happened there. They made a giant peanut butter and jelly sandwich. It was 40 feet (about 12 meters) long! People said it was the biggest sandwich in the world.
