Pedro de Calabria was an Italian painter who lived and worked in the early 1700s. He was active between the years 1712 and 1725. He was an artist from the Baroque period, which was a time of grand and dramatic art.
Pedro was born in Naples, a city in Italy. He studied art with a very famous painter named Luca Giordano. Pedro even traveled with Giordano to Madrid, Spain, to help him with his art projects there. Pedro de Calabria was especially known for painting exciting battle scenes.
