Ride History
Peeking Heights didn't start its life at Chessington. It was first at Thorpe Park Resort. There, it was called 'Eclipse'. It operated at Thorpe Park from 2003 to 2004. After that, it was moved to Chessington World of Adventures.
Ride Features
This large Ferris wheel stood 25 meters (about 82 feet) tall. It had 18 special pods for riders. The Fabbri Group, a company known for making rides, built it.
Why It Closed
Peeking Heights closed its doors on September 10, 2017. The park needed the space for something new and exciting. This area was transformed into new homes for Amur Tigers. This new tiger area is called 'Land of the Tiger'. It opened in 2018.
The 'Mystic East' area of the park was also updated. The popular log flume ride, 'Dragon Falls', got a new look too. It was renamed 'Tiger Rock' to fit the new tiger theme.
