The Perch River is a river in Michigan, United States. It flows for about 25.4 miles (40.9 kilometers) long. This river is a smaller stream that flows into a larger one, which is called a tributary. The Perch River is a tributary of the Sturgeon River.

Where is the Perch River?

The Perch River is located in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. This part of Michigan is known for its beautiful forests and many lakes. The river flows through two counties: Iron County and Baraga County.

Its Journey North

The Perch River starts its journey at a place called Perch Lake. This lake is in Bates Township. From there, the river flows north. As it travels, it goes through a large natural area known as the Ottawa National Forest. This forest is a protected area with lots of trees and wildlife. Finally, the Perch River joins the Sturgeon River.
