Pernilla Stalfelt facts for kids
Pernilla Stalfelt (born in 1962) is a Swedish children's writer and illustrator. She is famous for explaining tricky ideas to kids in a way they can easily understand. For example, she wrote about the Convention on the Rights of the Child in her book Hurrraa!!! All barns rätt (All Children's Rights). This book helps kids learn about their important rights. Her book The Death Book, which talks about death in a simple way for children, was also very popular when it came out in English in 2003.
About Pernilla Stalfelt
Pernilla Stalfelt was born on February 22, 1962. Her birthplace was in Uppsala County, Sweden. Her father, Sven Olov Stalfelt, was a journalist. Her mother, Ann-Marie Stalfelt, was a doctor.
When Pernilla was young, she was inspired by another famous children's author, Barbro Lindgren. Lindgren's book Loranga, Masarin och Dartanjang made Pernilla want to write for children too. After finishing high school, Pernilla studied culture and arts at Uppsala University.
