Early Life and Studies

Curt Emmrich, who later became known as Peter Bamm, volunteered to serve in the military during World War I. After the war, he decided to study medicine. He also studied sinology, which is the study of Chinese language, history, and culture. He went to universities in Munich, Göttingen, and Freiburg im Breisgau.

Traveling the World as a Ship's Doctor

After finishing his studies, Peter Bamm worked as a doctor on ships. This job allowed him to travel all over the world. He saw many different places and cultures. Eventually, he settled down in Berlin-Wedding, a part of Berlin.

Experiences in World War II

During World War II, Peter Bamm served as a military doctor. He was stationed on the Russian Front. He later wrote about his experiences during this time in a book called "Die Unsichtbare Flagge" (The Invisible Flag).

After the War and Journalism
