Peter James Marsh (born October 19, 1948 – died November 26, 2012) was an amazing Australian athlete. He competed in the Paralympic Games three times. Peter won two bronze medals in sports like athletics and table tennis.
About Peter Marsh
In June 1970, when Peter was 21, he had a serious accident. He was playing rugby league and hurt his spine. This injury meant he became a quadriplegic. This means he couldn't move his arms or legs. Before his injury, Peter enjoyed surf lifesaving. He also worked as a car mechanic.
Peter was a pioneer in helping others. In 1976, he started working for the Paraplegic Welfare Association. This group is now called the Spinal Injuries Association. He was their first employee with a disability. Peter worked there full-time until 1983.
He also helped manage groups for wheelchair sports. He became a life member of the Sporting Wheelies and Disabled Association. In 2008, Peter volunteered with a community service program.
Peter Marsh passed away on November 26, 2012. He is remembered by his wife, Anne, and their son, Kieran.

1976 Toronto Paralympics
At the 1976 Toronto Games, Peter competed in two sports. He played athletics and table tennis. He won two bronze medals at these Games.

- The other bronze was for the Men's Precision Club Throw (1A–1B category).
Later Paralympic Games
Peter also competed in the 1980 Arnhem Games. He took part in athletics and table tennis again. He did not win any medals at these Games.
His last Paralympic appearance was at the 1984 New York/Stoke Mandeville Games. Here, he competed in three athletics events. Even though he didn't win a medal, his dedication was inspiring.
