Peter Northe Wells (8 February 1950 – 18 February 2019) was a talented writer, filmmaker, and historian from New Zealand. He was born in Auckland.
One of his most famous works was the film Desperate Remedies, released in 1993. His novel Iridescence (2003) was also very popular. It was a runner-up for a top fiction award in New Zealand. In 2006, Peter Wells was honored as a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit. This award recognizes people who have done great things for New Zealand.
