Phil McSpadden is a famous American softball coach. He is known for having more wins than any other coach in college softball history. His amazing record is 1,860 wins and only 404 losses.
Coach McSpadden has been the head coach for the Oklahoma City University softball team since 1988. He has led his team to win many national championships.
A Champion Coach
Phil McSpadden has guided the Oklahoma City University softball team to win eleven national titles. These championships were in the NAIA. The team won in 1994, 1995, 1996, and 1997. They also won in 2000, 2001, and 2002. More recently, they secured titles in 2007, 2016, 2017, and 2022. This shows his consistent success over many years.
Hall of Fame Recognition
In 2014, Phil McSpadden was honored for his great career. He was inducted into the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Hall of Fame. This is a very special award for coaches who have made a big impact on fastpitch softball. It recognizes his dedication and achievements in the sport.
