Philip George William Bond (born November 1, 1934 – died January 17, 2017) was a British actor. He was best known for playing Albert Frazer in the popular 1970s BBC TV show The Onedin Line, which was about ships and sailing.

Early Life and Training
Philip Bond was born in Burton-on-Trent, England. His parents were from Wales. He had an older brother and a twin sister. Philip first started acting when he was a student at Burton Boys' Grammar School. He also took acting classes at a local School of Speech and Drama.
In 1952, he joined the Central School of Speech and Drama in London. This is a famous school where many actors learn their craft. Some of his classmates there also became well-known actors. In 1957, he performed in a musical called Zuleika.
His Acting Roles
Philip Bond had a long career in television and film, acting for over 50 years. His first TV role was in a series called ITV Television Playhouse in 1958.
He appeared in many popular TV shows that you might have heard of or seen reruns of. These include The Saint (1963), the classic science fiction show Doctor Who (in an adventure called "The Daleks" in 1964), and The Avengers (1969). He also acted in Z-Cars, Only Fools and Horses (1985), Casualty (2007), and Midsomer Murders (2007).
In films, Philip Bond appeared in movies like Count Five and Die (1957), Orders to Kill (1958), and Fever Pitch (1997). He was also interviewed for a documentary about The Onedin Line in 2008.

Philip Bond married a television producer named Pat Sandys in 1959. They later separated. Together, they had three children: Abigail, Matthew, and Samantha Bond. Samantha Bond is also a famous actress, known for playing Miss Moneypenny in the James Bond films. Philip lived in a village in Wales, which was his parents' home country.
Later Years
Philip Bond passed away on January 17, 2017, at the age of 82. He was on holiday in Madeira when he died.
