Pimentel is a city located in the Dominican Republic. It is part of the Duarte Province, which is a region in the country. Pimentel is an important city in its province. It is the second largest city in Duarte Province and the 25th largest city in the entire Dominican Republic. In 2012, about 36,000 people lived here. Pimentel became an official municipality in 1907.
