Ping, Washington facts for kids
Ping is a small, quiet place located in Garfield County, in the state of Washington, USA. It's known as an unincorporated community, which means it's not a city or town with its own local government. Instead, it's part of the larger county area, where the county government helps manage things.
A Look Back: Ping's History
Ping might be small today, but it has a bit of history! A long time ago, in 1889, a post office was opened there. This was a really important place for people to send and receive letters and packages, especially before phones and the internet. The post office stayed open for about 21 years, closing its doors in 1910.
The community was named after two early settlers, Frank and Robert Ping. They were pioneers who helped establish the area.
