Pivijay is a town and a special area called a municipality in Colombia. It is located in the Magdalena Department, which is a part of Colombia.
Pivijay was started a long time ago, in 1774. It was founded by three people named José Flores, Julian Valera, and Antonio Sánchez. Later, in 1912, Pivijay became an official municipality. This means it got its own local government and could manage its own affairs.
Pivijay's Climate
Pivijay has a warm climate all year round. The average temperature is about 28 degrees Celsius (82 degrees Fahrenheit). This means it's usually quite hot!
The town also gets a good amount of rain, especially from April to November. The wettest months are usually August, September, and October. During these months, there can be more rain showers. The driest months are January and February, when it hardly rains at all.
