Geography of Playa del Inglés
Playa del Inglés is part of a bigger resort area called Maspalomas. It is next to other towns like San Agustín and Sonnenland. South of the resort, you can find the famous Maspalomas Dunes. These are large sand dunes that look like a desert.
The area was mostly empty until the 1960s. Then, many buildings were built for tourists. Some of these were tall concrete buildings. But many have been updated recently. This makes them look nicer and fit better with the area.
There are several large shopping centers in the resort. The 'Yumbo' and 'Kasbah' are the biggest ones. These centers have many shops, restaurants, and places to have fun.
