History of Pleasant Ridge
Pleasant Ridge once had its own post office. It first opened in 1877. In 1894, the name of the post office was changed slightly to "Pleasantridge." However, it closed down a few years later in 1909.
The people who named the community chose "Pleasant Ridge" because the area where the first town was built felt very nice and pleasant.
