Plini Roessler-Holgate, known simply as Plini, is a super talented guitarist and songwriter from Australia. He was born in 1992 or 1993. He started his music journey by releasing songs under the name Halcyon. Later, he decided to use his first name, Plini, for his music.
A very famous guitarist named Steve Vai once said that Plini is "the future of exceptional guitar playing." That's a huge compliment! Also, in 2017, the website MusicRadar named Plini the best prog guitarist of the year.
Plini has released several music collections called extended plays (EPs). These include Other Things and Sweet Nothings in 2013, and The End of Everything in 2015. His first full album, Handmade Cities, came out in 2016. Steve Vai loved this album, calling it "one of the finest, forward-thinking... instrumental guitar records [he has] ever heard." Plini released another EP, Sunhead, in 2018. His second full album, Impulse Voices, was released in 2020.
