Pocosol is a district in Costa Rica. It is part of the San Carlos area in the Alajuela province.

History of Pocosol
Pocosol was officially created on November 3, 1983. Before this, it was part of another district called Cutris. This change was made by a special government decision.
Geography of Pocosol
Pocosol covers an area of about 660.75 square kilometers. It is located at an elevation of 110 meters above sea level. This district is in the northern part of Costa Rica.
Its borders are:
- To the north: Nicaragua
- To the south: Monterrey
- To the west: Los Chiles
- To the east: Cutris
The main town in Pocosol is Santa Rosa. Santa Rosa is about 44.7 kilometers northeast of Ciudad Quesada. It is also about 144 kilometers northwest of San Jose, the capital city. The land in Pocosol is mostly flat.
