Polache (born Paul Robert Douglas Hughes-Hallett Ramos on February 10, 1977, in Tegucigalpa, Honduras) is a talented Honduran musician and former soccer player. He has released four music albums in his home country and proudly represented Honduras at the 2014 Viña del Mar International Song Festival. Polache is known for creating music that truly reflects daily life in Honduras. He enjoys writing songs about love, peace, sports like football, and the rich culture of Honduras. He always tries to highlight what makes his country special in his music.
Polache also played soccer professionally for Deportes Savio in the Liga Nacional de Ascenso de Honduras, which is a professional league. He even wrote a song dedicated to his team! Later, he wrote another song for the Honduras national soccer team to celebrate their journey to the 2014 World Cup. He faced a brief time when he couldn't perform in Honduras after a political event, but he was soon able to share his music again.

Polache's father is British, and his mother is Honduran. His stage name, "Polache," comes from the Spanish way of saying "Paul H." (Pol-ache).
Early Life and Education
Polache started his education at the Instituto Salesiano San Miguel. He then earned his high school diploma in Sciences and Letters from the Instituto San Francisco de Tegucigalpa. From a young age, he was an active member of the scouts until he turned 19. After that, he went to the Technological University of Honduras, where he studied Advertising and Communications.
Musical Journey and Fame
Polache showed his artistic talents from a very young age. When he was just 9 years old, he started playing his first guitar, which he lovingly called "La Polacha." This guitar has traveled with him on many of his musical adventures.
He became famous in Honduras in 2008 when he released his first song, "Mira Honduras." This song aimed to celebrate and give importance to the national identity of Honduras. With support from the media and people across Honduras, he then released other popular songs like "Hablo Español" and "Pedazo de Mujer." These songs quickly made him one of the most popular artists in the country.
In October 2008, Polache released his first album, also titled Habló Español. This album was a special tribute to the unique slang and everyday language used in Honduras. Soon after, he released his second album, Celebremos. With this album, Polache was able to tour and perform in many different countries, including the United States, Spain, Uruguay, Italy, and France. He has participated in many music festivals, always making sure to represent Honduras and highlight his country's culture wherever he goes.
