Polache, whose real name is Paul Robert Douglas Hughes-Hallett Ramos, is a popular musician and former soccer player from Honduras. He was born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, on February 10, 1977. Polache is famous for his songs that celebrate Honduran culture and everyday life. He has released four albums and even represented Honduras at a big music festival in Chile.

About Polache's Life

Polache's father is British, and his mother is Honduran. His stage name, "Polache," comes from the Spanish way of saying "Paul H." He started his education at Instituto Salesiano San Miguel. Later, he earned his bachelor's degree in Sciences and Letters. He also studied Advertising and Communications at the Technological University of Honduras. From a young age, he was part of the scouts.

Polache showed his artistic talent very early. When he was just 9 years old, he started playing his first guitar. He even named it "La Polacha." This guitar has traveled with him on many of his musical journeys.

Polache's Music Journey

Polache became well-known in Honduras in 2008. This was when he released his first song, "Mira Honduras." This song aimed to make people proud of their national identity. With support from the media and Hondurans, he released more popular songs. These included "Hablo Español" and "Pedazo de Mujer." These songs made him one of the most sought-after artists in the country.

In October 2008, Polache released his first album, also called Habló Español. This album was a special tribute to Honduran slang and everyday language. Soon after, he released his second album, Celebremos. With this album, he toured in many different countries. He visited places like the United States, Spain, Uruguay, Italy, and France. In all his performances, he always proudly identifies himself as 100% Honduran. He always tries to showcase his country to the world.

Polache was briefly not allowed to perform in Honduras after a political event in 2009. This happened because he performed with a leader who was later removed from power.

Polache and Soccer

Besides music, Polache also has a strong connection to soccer. He played soccer for a team called Deportes Savio. This team was part of the Liga Nacional de Ascenso de Honduras, which is a soccer league. He even wrote a song especially for this team.

Polache also wrote a song for the Honduras national soccer team. This song was for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, a very big international soccer tournament.
