Polina Aleksandrovna Shchennikova (born January 7, 1998) is a former artistic gymnast. She was a member of the U.S. National team from 2012 to 2013. This means she was one of the top gymnasts in the United States during those years.

Polina Shchennikova's Gymnastics Journey
Early Life and Family
Polina was born in Moscow, Russia. Her parents, Katia and Aleksandr Shchennikov, were also gymnasts. They competed for the Soviet National Team. When Polina was 8 years old, her family moved to Colorado in the United States. This is where she continued her gymnastics training.
Junior and Senior Career
Polina showed great talent in gymnastics from a young age. She competed in the US National Championships. In 2013, she competed as a junior gymnast. Later, in 2015, she competed as a senior gymnast. These championships are very important events for gymnasts in the United States.
College Gymnastics
In 2015, Polina decided to join the Michigan Wolverines women's gymnastics team. This is a college team at the University of Michigan. She was named Freshman of the Year during her first year there. After her time as a gymnast, she became a student assistant coach for the gymnastics team. Polina retired from competitive gymnastics in 2016.
