Polinyà (pronounced puliˈɲa) is a small town in Spain. It is a type of local government area called a municipality. Polinyà is located in the province of Barcelona, which is part of Catalonia. Catalonia is one of the special regions in Spain that has its own government and culture.

Size and People
The municipality of Polinyà covers an area of about 8.8 square kilometers. To give you an idea, that's roughly the size of 880 football fields! In 2014, about 8,238 people lived in Polinyà. By 2018, the population had grown slightly to 8,389 residents.
Local Government
