Polyana Viana's Early Life and Training
Polyana Viana grew up in a small town in Brazil called São Geraldo do Araguaia. Her mother raised her. In 2013, Polyana started training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. This is a martial art focused on grappling and ground fighting. She also began her professional mixed martial arts career in late 2013.

First UFC Fights and Challenges
Polyana made her UFC debut on February 3, 2018. She fought Maia Stevenson and won the fight in the first round. She used a move called a rear-naked choke.

Polyana faced Tabatha Ricci on May 21, 2022, at UFC Fight Night 206. She lost this fight by a unanimous decision from the judges.

In January 2019, Polyana showed her bravery outside her apartment. A man tried to rob her with what looked like a gun. Polyana defended herself by punching the man and holding him until the police arrived. The authorities decided she acted in self-defense, so she did not face any charges.
