Pontus Segerström (born February 17, 1981 – died October 13, 2014) was a talented Swedish football player. He was known for playing as a defender. Pontus spent a big part of his career playing for IF Brommapojkarna, a club where he started playing football when he was very young. He also played for other teams in Denmark and Norway before returning to his home club. Sadly, Pontus passed away in 2014 after an illness, at the age of 33.

Pontus Segerström: A Football Journey
Pontus Segerström began his football journey at a young age with IF Brommapojkarna, a club in Sweden. He played there for many years, showing great skill as a defender.
Playing for Different Clubs
After his time at Brommapojkarna, Pontus moved to Denmark in 2004 to play for Odense BK. This was a short period, and he soon returned to Sweden.
He then joined Landskrona BoIS. He played for them in Sweden's top league, Allsvenskan, during the 2005 season. The next year, in 2006, he played for them in a league called Superettan.
Career in Norway and Return Home
From 2007 to 2009, Pontus played football in Norway for Stabæk. He was an important player for them.
In 2010, Pontus made a special return to his first club, IF Brommapojkarna. He continued to play for them until 2014. In his final two seasons with the club, 2013 and 2014, he played in the Allsvenskan league. He even served as the team captain in his last game.
