Popi Malliotaki (born October 16, 1971) is a Greek singer known for her pop-folk music. She has been singing for over 20 years and has released several albums and singles.

Popi Malliotaki first studied nursing in Heraklion, Crete. While studying, she also sang in nightclubs. After eight months, she decided to focus only on music. She has worked with many famous artists throughout her career.

Popi's Family Life

Popi Malliotaki has been married twice. From her first marriage to singer Sakis Galanis, she has a daughter named Rania. In 1992, she met Babis Lazaridis in Germany. They married in 1999 in Athens. From her second marriage, she has a son named Vasilis Lazaridis, who is a model, journalist, and blogger.

Popi Malliotaki's Music Career

First Album: Aparetiti Agapi Mou (2005)

In 2005, Popi Malliotaki signed with Alpha Records. She released her first album, Aparetiti Agapi Mou. Elias Tryfonides wrote the music, and Rania Tikou wrote the lyrics. Popi Malliotaki sang a duet with Haris Akritidis on the title song. The song Me ragises became very popular and was made into a music video. This first album reached 13th place on the Greek music charts.

Second Album: Alli Mia Fora (2006)

Her second album, Alli Mia Fora, came out in early 2006. Some popular songs from this album include "Alli mia fora," "Erotas isouna," and "Amartimata." The album also featured a special duet with TV presenter Maria Bekatorou. By the summer of 2007, the album had sold enough copies to be certified gold.

Third Album: Popara (2007-2008)

At the end of 2007, Popi Malliotaki released her third album, Popara. The main song, "Popara," was a satirical song. It was sung in six different languages and three versions. This song became a huge success very quickly. In 2008, because of the album's popularity, a mobile phone company even released a calling card named "Popara."

New Music: Singles (2013-2014)

After some time away from releasing new albums, Popi Malliotaki returned with a new single in 2013. This single, called Ta xanaleme, was released by Lobby Music. It included the songs "Ta xanaleme," "Tha se timoriso," and "Iparhi Theos." She sang "Ta xanaleme" with rapper Mentoras. In 2014, she released another single titled Ta thelo mou.

More Singles: I Epityhia and Others (2015-2016)

In 2015, Popi released the single I epityhia. She wrote the lyrics for this song herself. Later that year, she released "Ekanes ti diafora." In 2016, her new single "An m' agapas" came out. The music video for "An m' agapas" was special because her son, Vasilis, appeared in it.

Recent Releases (2018-2021)

In 2018, Popi Malliotaki joined Heaven Music. She released the single De horizoun oi kardies mas. The music video for this song was directed by Dimitris Kampas. In May 2019, she released "Thema epafis," a song with Latin rhythms.

In 2020, Popi worked again with Panos Falaras and Akis Diximos on the song To klidi tou feggariou. This song was released with a music video in December. In December 2021, she released her fourth single with Heaven Music, a dance version of "Arga i grigora."
