Porqueres is a town in Spain. It is located in the Pla de l'Estany county. This area is part of the Girona province. It belongs to the Catalunya region. Porqueres is made up of several smaller villages.

Porqueres is a municipality, which is like a local government area. It includes different villages. The biggest villages are Mata, Les Pedreres, and Miànigues. Most people live in these areas.
Where is Porqueres?
The village of Pujarnol is high up. It sits on the Serra de Sant Patllari mountain range. To the west, you will find Porqueres village itself. Usall is located on the northern side of the Lake of Banyoles. Amidst the green Ginestar mountains is the village of Merlant.
