The Portland International Auto Show (PIAS) is a big yearly event. It takes place at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Oregon, USA. This exciting show started way back in 1910. It usually lasts for four days in January or February. About 100,000 people come to see it each year.

Early Beginnings
The Portland auto show first opened its doors in 1910. It has been a popular event for over a century. People have always loved seeing the newest cars and technologies.
Recent Shows and Features
In 2010, the show faced some challenges. Not as many car makers joined because of the economy. But the show quickly bounced back.
The 2011 show was a huge success. It displayed more than 1,200 cars. These cars came from 35 different car brands. Visitors had many exciting vehicles to explore.
In 2012, Chrysler brought something new. They launched their "Camp Jeep" program. This allowed visitors to experience off-road driving. The show also had an "ECO Center." This area featured cars that are better for the environment. About 100,000 people visited the show in 2012.
