The Story of Postboy's Name

Did you know that Postboy used to have its own post office? A post office is where people send and receive mail. The first post office in this area opened in 1879. Back then, it was called 'Post Boy' with two words.

Later, in 1893, the name was officially changed to 'Postboy' as one word. This post office served the community for many years before it closed down in 1926. The community itself got its name from a nearby stream called Postboy Creek. So, the creek was named first, and then the community and its post office took the same name!
