Pouria Poursorkh (Persian: پوریا پورسرخ) is a well-known actor from Iran. He was born on June 25, 1976. He won a special award called the Crystal Simorgh for Best Supporting Actor in 2007. This award is given at the Fajr Film Festival, which is a big event in Iran. He has also been nominated for other awards, like the Hafez Awards.

Early Life and Education
Pouria Poursorkh grew up in Tehran, the capital city of Iran. He is the oldest child in his family. He has two younger sisters and one younger brother. His mother teaches English language, and his father used to work for the National Iranian Oil Company before he retired. Pouria Poursorkh studied a lot and even earned a PhD in Plant Physiology.
How He Started Acting
Pouria Poursorkh began his acting journey in 2005. He first took acting classes with a director named Mohammad Hossein Latifi. He became friends with Latifi and was going to work as his assistant.
However, something unexpected happened. One of the actors in a TV show called Farar-e Bozorg couldn't make it. So, Pouria Poursorkh stepped in to play the role. This was his very first acting job and how he officially started his career.
His Acting Career
In 2006, Pouria Poursorkh became more famous after appearing in the TV series Vafa. This show was also directed by Mohammad Hossein Latifi. After that, he continued to take on many different roles in both movies and TV shows.
That same year, he acted in the movie Rooz-e Sevom. His performance in this film earned him a nomination for Best Actor at the Fajr International Film Festival. He also starred in other movies like Anahita (2008) and Ayar 14 (2008).
Pouria Poursorkh also played the main character in Mr. Alef. This was a special movie because it was the first 3D film made in Iranian cinema. He was also a main actor in the popular TV series Kimia.
Personal Life
Pouria Poursorkh got married in 2019. He shared the news about his marriage during a TV program in Nowruz 2020.
