According to a count done in 2001, Pozo del Tigre had 3,948 residents. This was a big jump in population compared to ten years earlier. In 1991, only 2,487 people lived there. This shows that the town was growing quite fast during that period.

The 2010 Tornado

On October 21, 2010, Pozo del Tigre faced a very serious natural event. A powerful tornado hit the town. This storm caused a lot of damage and sadly affected many people. Six people lost their lives, and 110 others were injured. The community worked hard to recover after this difficult event.
