Premium Saltine Crackers are a popular type of cracker. They are made by Nabisco and first came out in 1876. In Canada, these crackers are called Premium Plus. They are sold under the Christie brand there. In the United States, you'll find them as "Original Premium."
You can buy Premium crackers in different flavors. These include Unsalted, Salted, Five Grain, and Whole Wheat. Most Premium crackers are square. But sometimes, you might find round ones too!
How Premium Crackers Are Packaged
Premium crackers usually come in boxes. Inside the box, the crackers are sealed in plastic "sleeves." A typical box for homes has four sleeves. You can also find bigger boxes with eight or twelve sleeves.
Restaurants often use special bulk packages. These have small packs with two or four crackers each. Sometimes, you might even find Premium crackers sold in tin cans!
The color of the cracker boxes is different depending on where you are. In the United States, the boxes are white. In Canada, they are either red or brown. The brown boxes in Canada are used for the whole wheat crackers.
