Prix Sorcières facts for kids

The Prix Sorcières is a special yearly literary prize given out in France. It has been awarded since 1986 to amazing books for young people. The awards are given in different groups, and these groups got new names in 2018.

The winners are chosen by two important groups: the ALSJ (which is a group of bookstores specializing in youth books) and the ABF (a group of librarians in France). To win, books must be written in French or translated into French. Some famous authors from other countries who have won this prize include Anthony Browne, Anne Fine, Michael Morpurgo, and J. K. Rowling.
