Later, in 1988, another large company, NACCO Industries, Inc., bought Proctor Silex. NACCO Industries is a big company that owns many different businesses.
Joining with Hamilton Beach
Just two years later, in 1990, NACCO Industries made another big move. They also bought Hamilton Beach Brands. Hamilton Beach is another very popular brand for kitchen appliances. After buying Hamilton Beach, NACCO Industries decided to combine Proctor Silex and Hamilton Beach. This made the two companies work together under the same parent company.
