Rosie & Ruff in Puppydog Tales is a fun British cartoon made for children. It was created by Hilary Hayton, who also made another show called Crystal Tipps and Alistair. The stories were told and written by the famous Victoria Wood.
This animated series first aired on the BBC in 1992. It had 13 episodes and was shown again until 1996. Later, it was also broadcast on other channels like The Children's Channel and Carlton Kids. Kids in Canada could also watch it on the Knowledge Network.
About the Show
The cartoon is all about two dog friends: Rosie and Ruff. Rosie is a smart and happy dog. Ruff is a bit naughty and needs to learn things. Rosie helps Ruff learn important lessons and good morals in each episode. It's like she's teaching him how to be a good puppy!
How an Episode Works
Every episode of Puppydog Tales starts with Rosie reporting the news. She shares what's happening in their world. At the very end of each episode, there's a special song. This song helps everyone remember what Rosie and Ruff learned during that story.
Where to Watch It
Back in the early 1990s, you could buy two VHS videos of the show. These were like old-fashioned DVDs! For a short time, the show was also available to watch on the BBC Store website.
