Purua is a small community found in the Northland area of New Zealand. It is located to the northwest of the city of Whangārei. The area is known for its beautiful rolling hills and flat lands near rivers.
A hill also named Purua stands tall in the east. Its highest point is 387 meters above sea level. The main type of work in Purua is farming. Farmers here raise dairy cows, sheep, and beef cattle. The local hall is an important building in the community.
