QWOP is a fun and challenging online game. It was made by Bennett Foddy and came out in 2008. You can play it on his website, Foddy.net. In the game, you control an athlete named Qwop. Your goal is to run a 100-meter sprint at the Olympic Games.
The game is famous for being super hard! You only use four keys: Q, W, O, and P. These keys control Qwop's legs. You have to move his legs just right to make him run without falling over. If you make it 50 meters, you need to jump over a hurdle. At 100 meters, you can try a long jump. But just crossing the finish line is enough to win!
Why QWOP is So Hard
QWOP is known for being very difficult to play well. Many players find it tricky to control Qwop's legs. It takes a lot of practice to make him run smoothly. Because of this, the game became very popular online. People loved to share videos of their funny attempts.
How QWOP Became Famous
In late 2010, QWOP became a huge hit. A video blogger named Ray William Johnson reviewed a video about the game. This made QWOP go "viral," meaning it spread very quickly online. It even became an Internet meme, which is a funny idea or image that gets shared a lot. Even though it was hard, the game helped Bennett Foddy's website get over 30 million views!
After QWOP's success, Bennett Foddy made another game. It was called "GIRP" and came out in 2011.
